It’s not surely every day that you get to see a dog riding a train. And if you’ve seen one, it’s likely that the owner is with it. But have you ever met a pup who gets aboard a train on its own? If not, this story will introduce you to one.
Meet Kapsel, a Beagle Mix, who put a smile on the faces of Irish train passengers. The adorable pooch got a free ride from Newbridge to Dublin in Ireland.
There’s a missing pup on the train
Kapsel boarded the train on his own, and he decided to make friends with the passengers. A film journalist named Brian Lloyd took a few snaps of the dog and uploaded them to Twitter. In his tweet, Brian asked if there was anyone in Newbridge who owned the pooch.
Following the almost 30-minute trip, Brian tweeted again that train staff members were looking after Kapsel. He also hoped that the adorable Beagle mix enjoyed his trip.
Eventually, a woman named Anna, a volunteer at an organization called My Lovely Horse, took Kapsel in temporarily.
So how did Kapsel get onto the train?
Patricia, Kapsel’s owner, said that her pup’s antics started when her mom took out the trash but didn’t close the door since she was confident that the dog wouldn’t run away. This time, however, Kapsel decided to make a run for the exit.
Unfortunately, Patricia’s mother wasn’t able to run after the dog due to her health. And before she got help from their housemate, Kapsel was long gone. Patricia added that a lady in the town caught Kapsel, but the dog managed to run away and board the train.
To quell the worries of those following Kapsel’s story online, Patricia shared on Twitter a photo of the pup sleeping on the couch. Patricia said that her pup would be getting a GPS device and a tag that would bear her number.
